The act of reading and discussing good writing with others who hold different viewpoints keeps the storyteller and poet alive in me.

Fiction tracks the lives we live among others. Myth tracks the lives we live within ourselves. Both are vital for my writing.

Family and friends

I had two huge advantages as a young writer: Parents who never said "you can't," and friends who always said "glad you're here."
